The Craft Cluster initiative by NIFT is designed with the objective to sensitize the realities of the craft sector in India and give insight into regional sensibilities and diversities, resources and environment. Mukaish Badla, is a collective effort to re-establish the fading craft of wire embroidery in Lucknow. Furthermore, the skills and craftsmanship of the artisians are implemented in the designed garments which derives its inspiration from the city of nawabs. The garment aspires to hold together the beauty and the knowledge of the craft and upgrade the product by understanding consumers in the urban markets.
